Why I Love NUXE UK

I first discovered the joys of NUXE back in 2012 after I received a Space NK voucher for my birthday. After much deliberation, swatching and pondering, I decided on a large bottle of NUXE Huile Prodigieuse OR because it felt like a real treat - after all, a bottle of decadently shimmering, sparkly oil is not something I would usually spend my pennies on.

Since then, I've tried skincare, cosmetics, fragrance and even a candle from the French brand and they remain a firm favourite. I check out the NUXE section every time I'm in a Space NK store but more often than not I order online from NUXE UK.
Here's why:

The Website is very user friendly

NUXE UK is easy to navigate with detailed product descriptions, user reviews, tips and lists of active ingredients and what they do.

They often have gift with purchase deals, discounts and promotions

I don't think I've ever logged on to the site without being met with a sweet deal of some kind. The most recent offer was/is a free Fondant Shower Gel with purchases over £30. They also have a neat little Summer Travel Kit that includes 5 miniature products for £13.50.

You receive a free miniature and 3 samples with EVERY order!

It's true! What's more, you choose the miniature you would like, which is a very nice touch indeed and a great way of trying more from their ranges.

The Loyalty Programme

The Loyalty Programme works on a points system and you gain points every time you place an order. You earn 1 point for every pound spent and receive a £10 e-Coupon once you reach 100 points, a £25 pound coupon at 200 points and a £75 coupon at 500 points. Sure it may take a while to accumulate enough points but it's still a nice little incentive. As if you need one.

The delivery and packaging

Delivery is super quick (in my experience) and the products are so well packaged they could probably survive the reckoning. Some may say the packaging is a little too good (giant boxes with another box inside and those plastic pillow things) but at least you know your order will arrive in the best condition possible.

Obviously the products themselves are fantastic and reasonably priced but today I wanted to post about the website rather than the products. If you've not tried anything from NUXE before, you can read my review of the Reve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream Night here.

NUXE Reve De Miel Ultra-Comfortable Face Cream Night Review

I've been contemplating the NUXE Reve De Miel Night Cream for months and now that I have it, I wonder what took me so long to order it.
In a nutshell, this extremely nourishing, rich night cream is nothing short of an absolute delight. The decadent formula features a whole load of oils and butters that combine to make one very delicious pot of night cream that I'm certain will become a permanent fixture on my bedside table.

Designed for dry and sensitive skin, the Reve De Miel Night Cream contains sunflower oil, safflower ceramides (oil) and precious plant oils to restore lipids, barley, argan oil and shea butter to soothe and of course honey to repair the skin.

While I can't comment on long term effects (I've only had it a couple of days) I can say that the cream is rich, thick and feels like a lovely treat on my skin after a night time cleanse. Not only does it smell delicious, I've found that this cream absorbs relatively quickly for such a rich formula and I can understand why it's labelled as 'Ultra-Comfortable' because it does feel undeniably comforting and soothing. Two thumbs up from me.

You can find NUXE products at Space NK and M & S but I recommend ordering online from NUXE because you receive a free miniature and samples with every order and they often have lovely little gifts with purchase for added incentive! The NUXE Reve De Miel Face Cream Night is £23 for a 50ml pot.

Pretty Polly? Pretty Amazing!

Take Britains most beloved and iconic legwear, add one red hot designer,  and throw in one of the biggest pop stars in the world, and what do you get? The House of Holland for Pretty Polly AW11 collection featuring Jessie J of course!
The mercury's dropping and tights are coming back in a big way - but why dress your legs in something drab and  dreary when you've got gorgeous (and affordable) designs at your fingertips?
With prices starting at £12, the collection is 100% instant sexbomb - just add tights.
There's something for every girl with styles ranging from bold stars to a cheeky take on laddering and the undeniably gorgeous mesh Super Suspenders as worn by Jessie, so there's really no excuse not to sass up your Autumn wardrobe.

Doin' it like a superhero - Jessie J displays an extremely
impressive pair of pins accentuated by the flattering, sassy
design of the tights

I'll be going for the Super Suspenders because I think they look unreal - quirky and different with just the right amount of sex-kitten sophistication. I'm a big fan of suspenders, but can get a bit annoyed with them not staying up properly! The great thing about the Super Suspender design is that they look like you're wearing suspenders when you're actually taking a cheeky shortcut. Do we call that cheating? I call it innovation!
One glance at this stunning comic - strip style advertisement is enough to make you fall in love with these tights and I can say I definitely came down with a case of leg envy when I first laid eyes on it!
If, like me, this collection has reignited your passion for gorgeous tights,  I suggest you leg it over to the Pretty Polly pop up shop and get em while they're hot! The pop up shop is located at Covent Garden Market and is open until January 31 next year. To check out the gorgeous collection visit Pretty Polly here.

P.S. I know tights don't strictly fall under the 'beauty' category, but they are just too darn special not to rave about!

Lippy Tip - To stop a case of the dreaded 'tight itchies' - you know, that uncomfortable feeling when your tights rub against your winter-parched skin -  be sure to moisturise your legs before rolling on your legwear. Using a dry oil such as Huile Prodigieuse by cult brand Nuxe smells lovely and absorbs quickly. I picked up my bottle from Space NK for £23 (50ml). I was feeling extra girly that day so opted for the Golden Shimmer edition

This shimmering version of Huile Prodigieuse
adds a little disco to your body, face and hair :)
