NEW Nourish London Ultra Rich Vegan Body Creams

 Nourish London has just released two new body creams perfect for some post-shower pampering. I for one am terrible when it comes to neglecting the skin on my body and just focusing on my face, so I very much welcomed the chance to try one of the new creams. I have the Geranium and Jasmine Contouring Body Cream but there is also a Bergamot and Cardamom Smoothing Body Cream available. Both retail for £17 and come in fully recyclable glass jars with aluminium lids.

When I opened the jar of the Geranium and JasmineContouring Body Cream the first thing I noticed was the unmistakeable fragrance of real Jasmine. Delicate, familiar and instantly calming, the Jasmine pairs beautifully with fragrant Bergamot extract to create a natural scent that should soothe the senses of most people.

The cream is super thick and rich and feels quite luxurious. The base is made up of a variety of nourishing butters and oils including Cocoa Butter, Shea and Sunflower and contains antioxidant Prickly Pear extract and hydrating Trehalose as well as Hyaluronic Acid. Trehalose is a type of plant-derived sugar that's known for its ability to lock in moisture and mimic the skin's natural moisture factor. In other words, it's an ingredient you'd definitely want in a body cream.

The 'contouring' action of the Body Cream comes from the addition of antioxidant Brown Algae extract, which is renowned in the skin care world for its firming properties. Brown Algae works to prevent the degradation of skin elasticity, so it’s  a great ingredient for keeping things supple.

The Bergamot & Cardamom smoothing variation of the body cream contains cooling and soothing Cucumber extract, calming Aloe and Borage and uplifting Bergamot and Geranium essential oils. I feel like the Geranium & Jasmine cream is ideal for winding down at the end of the day/ at night, while the Bergamot & Cardamom body cream would be perfect for kickstarting the senses in the morning.

This cream is so thick and luxurious that you need to use a lot less than you might think - if you scoop out too much it's going to take a while to rub it in as well. It leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated, with the delicate, soothing scent of Jasmine and Geranium.
The perfect treat for after a wash and before bed. Speaking of washing, there is a matching Geranium & Jasmine Shower Gel too, so you could use that first for a really pampering spa-like experience.

Nourish London Ceramide Moisture Boost Essence

 The newest product from organic beauty brand Nourish London is the Ceramide Moisture Boost Essence and I've really been enjoying it!

As soon as winter rolls around it's like the moisture is just sucked out of my skin all of a sudden, so this product couldn't have been released at a better time.
Designed to be used after cleansing and toning, the essence is designed to add an extra layer of moisture before you add your serum and/or moisturiser.
Milky and light weight, the essence has been formulated to prevent dehydration and is perfect for menopausal skin and complexions affected by hormonal changes.
It's rich in Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides, along with something called Trehalose which mimics the skin's natural moisturising factor, helping it to retain moisture, protecting against dryness and reducing signs of ageing.
Probiotic Minerals including Magnesium, Zinc, Copper and Iron calm and help to rebalance the skin and a Supergreen blend including Kale Sprout extract and upcycled Olives is also in the mix, to fight oxidation and encourage radiant, nourished skin.

Willow Bark is a natural exfoliant that’s included in the essence to balance sebum levels, unclog pores and also help with hydration. Vege Ceramides help to repair the skin barrier while increasing moisture, reducing dryness and soothing the skin, while Hyaluronic Acid replenishes hydration and nourishes the skin.

It’s very, very lightly scented with natural Vanilla and Benzoin, for a slightly sweet, warm and comforting fragrance that adds to the overall experience.

Speaking of experience, this essence is a really pleasant product to use – I’m loving ‘sandwiching’ it between my products for an extra nourishing boost but I think I’ll also appreciate the lightness of the essence in warmer weather too.

I've tried the Lemon & Black Pepper Hand Wash before (you can read my blog post here) and really like it. It's made with 100% natural plant-based cleansers (Potassium Oleate and Potassium Cocoate) and has been lab tested to kill 99.9% of bacteria. Ho Leaf Oil and Lemon Peel Oil are blended with Black Pepper Seed Oil - which are all naturally antibacterial- to create a fresh, invigorating scent that takes hand washing to another level. The Multi-Tasking Balm is one of those does-everything products that every bathroom cabinet, handbag or bedside table needs. It works as a gentle but effective cleanser (and exfoliator when used with a flannel or muslin) that emulsifies and rinses away, makes an instantly hydrating and moisturising mask that can be left to work overnight (perfect in this cold weather) and is also brilliant on dry patches virtually anywhere on the body. Nourish London Summer Sun Kit

 The Summer Sun Kit from Nourish London is a dinky little skincare trio perfect for travel or just trying out the brand. Presented in a Freeset black organic cotton bag, the skincare set includes the Argan Skin Rescue (5ml), Skin Protecting Daily Moisturiser SPF25 (15ml) and the Probiotic Multi-Mineral Repair Mask (5ml).

The idea is that this kit is ideal for sunny days; prep the skin before you go out in the sun with the Argan Skin Rescue, protect and moisturise with the Skin Protecting Daily Moisturiser (you can read my post about that here) and then soothe skin at the end of the day (or overnight if you fancy it) with the Probiotic Multi-Mineral Repair Mask.

The Argan Skin Rescue is rich in Vitamin C and nourishing oils. It can really be used anytime and does feel really soothing on the skin so is a good option for post-sun treating. The inclusion of Vitamin C makes it perfect to apply in the morning though because Vitamin C is not only great for brightening, but it provides some protection against sun damage too.

I reviewed the Skin Protecting Daily Moisturiser quite recently but to recap, this is a Zinc Oxide based sunscreen with antioxidants including Camellia and Rosehip oils. The consistency is quite thick and I noticed that Nourish have added the following to the product listing on their website in case customers are confused about how best to apply it:

“Please note, the consistency of the product needs to be thicker than normal moisturisers without SPF to ensure that once applied to the skin the level of SPF is at the level stated on pack (in this case 25).  The product can thicken over time, particularly with fluctuations of temperature.  We would recommend applying a serum before hand which will prep and hydrate the skin to help the moisturiser skin into the skin more easily.  Also if you massage the product between your fingers for a few seconds to warm it up it will help loosen the product so that it will then apply more easily.”

The Probiotic Mineral Mask is just gorgeous – I’ve actually got it on now as I type! It’s a thick cream mask that feels beautifully soothing and cooling. Exactly what’s needed after a hot Summer day in or out of the sun. With calming Magnesium and infused with Damask Rose and Lavender, the mask is designed to calm inflammation, boost collagen, firm and restore. You can leave the mask on for anything from 5 minutes to overnight and remove it gently with a damp cloth. Strictly speaking, it’s a single use sachet but I think you could squeeze a couple of uses out of it to be honest!

As with all Nourish London products, the serum, moisturiser and mask in this kit are 100% vegan and made with organic ingredients.

New! Nourish London Skin Protecting Daily Moisturiser SPF 25

 The latest launch from Nourish comes just in time for the sunnier days we've got coming. The new Skin Protecting Daily Moisturiser SPF 25 is formulated with a blend of skin-benefiting ingredients and zinc oxide - a natural mineral sun filter.

Zinc sunscreens are generally pretty good for people with sensitive eyes (and skin for that matter) and as someone who's eyes often react to sunscreens, I can attest that this doesn't irritate me in the slightest. It’s worth mentioning that this product is actually completely safe to use on babies, which is always reassuring!

While the Zinc protects against damaging UVA and UVB rays, the moisturiser is supercharged with antioxidants and anti-ageing active ingredients to nourish, protect and firm the skin.
Turmeric, Tocopherol, Rosehip Oil and Camellia protect against environmental stressors and pollutants, while good old Hyaluronic Acid and Hexapeptides hydrate.

Argan, Kale, Pumpkin Seed Oil and Rose of Jericho are rich in Ceramides, protecting the skin's lipid layer and working to protect and smooth. To round things off, soothing Aloe Vera, Borage Oil and Bisabolol calm inflammation and redness.

The Daily Moisturiser is a satisfyingly thick consistency. In fact, it sort of just looks like a lovely jar of old school zinc sunblock, though on application it does melt into the skin and blends out sheer, on me. I would be interested to see how this blends out on dark skin. It leaves a semi-matte finish and works just fine under base makeup like tinted moisturiser and foundation. I usually need a little extra hydration underneath Zinc suncreams and while I find this moisturiser quite comfortable without anything else, I do like to use the Nourish London Relax Hydrating Peptide Serum underneath. Nourish actually recommend using a serum beneath the moisturiser to make it easier to apply and spread.

New Nourish London Soothing Muscle Bath & Shower

Nourish London Soothing Muscle Bath & Shower is a new launch that arrived with me just in time. At the risk of sounding self-pitying, my 4 year old and 12 week old have me perpetually sleep-deprived and I’ve had cold after cold since my son started back at school. So something that promises to soothe aching muscles and tired bodies is appreciated right now more than ever.

In a fully recycled and recyclable PCR bottle, the light gel formula contains an uplifting and revitalising blend of essential oils including Pine, Lemon, Juniper and Lavender. The oils combine to create the most refreshing scent that I imagine would be appreciated by the whole family – it really is a lovely, herbal, clean sort of fragrance. Epsom Salts are in the mix as they’re renowned for that naturally soothing effect.

The Soothing Muscle Bath & Shower is also designed to give you a boost when you’re feeling overtired (yes please!) and is perfect for after sports, especially when used in a hot shower. Looking for a few moments of relaxation? Add a few capfuls to the bath as it runs and sink in.

Nourish London 10 Years of Green Beauty Birthday Collection

 (Features sample) I write about Nourish London a lot on my blog - and for good reason, the products are excellent! I still think of Nourish London as a relatively new brand so it's crazy to think that they're now celebrating their 10th year. To mark the occasion, the brand have released the 10 Years of Green Beauty Birthday Collection, a curation of some of their best selling vegan skincare products.

Worth £70.50, the set retails for £40 and features a cleanser, mist, serum, moisturiser and 2 masks. A great way to try out a full regime and the perfect introduction to Nourish if you've not tried the brand before.

Kale 3D Cleanse (30ml) leaves skin cleansed and refreshed. Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid, Probiotics and oxygenating ingredients, with Kale and Griffonia to 'detoxify' and protect the skin from pollution. This cleanser is not only a pleasure to use but it's kind of a novelty too, as the formula changes colour (to green) as you massage it on. A new favourite.

I've had the full size of the Antioxidant Peptide Mist (15ml) before and I loved it so I'm glad to have this dinky on-the-go version. I'll be honest though, it's currently living on my bedside table rather than in my handbag because I like to spritz it to wake me up during night feeds! Designed to hydrate, brighten, protect and calm, the mist features antioxidant Turmeric, Hyaluronic Acid, Probiotic Minerals, Anti-Ageing Peptides, brightening Liquorice and a blend of calming essential oils including Lavender and Geranium. This mist is multi-functional and ideal for refreshing and hydrating the complexion, prepping the skin for makeup and even setting makeup.

I love the texture of the Argan Anti-Ageing Peptide Serum (15ml). Its light and sort of watery and I can virtually feel my skin drinking it up. The 92% organic serum features a mix of Tripeptides, Hyaluronic acid, Argan and Kale that work to encourage collagen, smooth, nourishq and reduce fine lines. The addition of Tonka Bean extract boosts luminosity. The serum is perfect when paired with the Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser.

Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser (50ml). I just want to mention that the 50ml moisturiser comes in a pump- in my images I have the small pot version of the cream but if you order this set you will receive the 50ml. The award-winning moisturiser is a blend of Argan Oil (rich in Omegas), Tripeptides to boost collagen, antioxidant Vitamin E and oils including Frankincense, Myrrh, Borage and Rose of Jericho. The rich, buttery moisturiser melts into the skin and feels truly luxurious. I think it primes the face beautifully ready for makeup but its richness makes it ideal as a night cream. I can really detect the scent of Frankincense in this, though it does disappear quite quickly so if you don't love Frankincense it shouldn't be a deal breaker.

Probiotic Multi-Mineral Repair Mask (2 x sachets). This mask is like a really thick, creamy moisturiser that can be removed after as little as 5 minutes or left on overnight for an intensive treatment. It smells beautifully spa-like and relaxing thanks to the addition of Lavender and Damask Rose and leaves the skin feeling instantly smooth, plump and hydrated. The single use mask features a blend of probiotic minerals including Zinc, Copper, Iron and Magnesium ferment to help with inflammation, boost collagen, smooth wrinkles and firm the skin.

This year's offering is a little different, as Nourish London has partnered with Fair Trade Organisation Freeset in India, who have created a selection of lovely handmade toiletry bags, crafted from locally sourced organic fabrics.

Freeset is an ethical clothing manufacturer based in Kolkuta, India, that provides employees with an income above the minimum wage, as well as paid leave, pension contribution and sick leave. They have been awarded Fair Trade Guaranteed status by the World Fair Trade Organisation and are, to put it very basically, a force for good. You can learn more about Freeset and their values here.

Nourish London Lemon & Black Pepper Handcare Duo, Nourish London Perfect Glow and Nourish London Relaxing Retreat.

I have here the Antioxidant Duo (£15) which is a very cute pair of well-loved Nourish products. This set includes the Antioxidant Multi-Tasking Super Balm (15ml) and Antioxidant Peptide Mist (15ml), present in a reusable Freeset bag. 

The Multi-Tasking Balm is one of those does-everything products that every bathroom cabinet, handbag or bedside table needs. It works as a gentle but effective cleanser (and exfoliator when used with a flannel or muslin) that emulsifies and rinses away, makes an instantly hydrating and moisturising mask that can be left to work overnight (perfect in this cold weather) and is also brilliant on dry patches virtually anywhere on the body. It's also great as an intensive moisturiser for lips and cuticles.

The Peptide Mist is a dual-phase formula that you shake to activate, which can be used to protect and prepare the skin as well as refresh a bare face or makeup throughout the day. Of course you can also use this in the 'misting' step of your skincare routine, before or after your moisturiser or both!

The Antioxidant Duo is just one of the Christmas offerings at Nourish this year, there's also the Lemon & Black Pepper Hand Duo £22 which features a Lemon and Black Pepper Hand Wash & Hand Lotion (both 300ml) with a smart black carrier bag with cotton handles. I haven't tried the lotion before but I have tried the hand wash (and the fantastic hand sanitiser spray from the same range) and it really does take hand washing to another level - and we know how much we're having to do that these days. I think this duo would make a brilliant, very relevant gift for pretty much anyone - the hand wash is there to obviously cleanse and then the lotion comes in to replenish moisture. I wouldn't mind this in my stocking to be honest.

The Nourish London Perfect Glow gift £59 would be perfect for anyone in your life who could do with a bit of a pamper this Christmas. This set includes a full size Antioxidant Multi-Tasking Super Balm (50ml), Radiance Firming Facial Oil (15ml), Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser (50ml) and a lovely rose quartz Gua Sha tool, in a Freeset organic cotton drawstring bag. I love that this set is basically a whole skin routine, so it makes a really nice present! Cleanse with the balm, use the Gua Sha to massage the facial oil into the skin, then follow with the moisturiser. Perfect. I've tried all of the products in this kit previously but this set has me wishing I had them all again so I could use them together in a routine.

The last set featuring Freeset is the Relaxing Retreat gift £35. After this year I think we could all do with one of these little kits. Presented in a black organic cotton drawstring bag from Freeset, this gift is designed to bring a little peace and includes the Probiotic Multi-Mineral Repair Mask (30ml), the Relax Hydrating Peptide Serum (30ml) and the new Sleepy Pillow Mist (50ml). I've not actually tried any of these products myself but this looks like a great set! Nourish London Antioxidant Peptide Mist

(Gifted Item) In my experience with skincare so far, I've found that facial mists tend to be either functional or sensory. They're either unscented, or gently scented and sort of high-tech and packed with active ingredients or they lean towards the natural side of things, spiked with beautiful essential oils and extracts for a mainly aromatherapeutic experience.

Nourish London have done a great job of finding a balance between the functional and sensory spritzing experience with the launch of their Antioxidant Peptide Mist.

The Peptide Mist is a dual-phase formula that separates when left alone, so you just need to shake it gently before use. The 91% organic blend of oils, Glycerin and ferments is housed in a satisfyingly heavy glass bottle with a mister that delivers an ultra-fine spritz of product.

Packaging and delivery system aside, we all know it’s what’s inside that really counts, and the Peptide Mist is chock full of ingredients that work in harmony to hydrate, brighten, protect and calm the skin.

As mentioned, the mist contains humectant Glycerin to draw water to the skin and also features hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, brightening Liquorice Root extract, antioxidant Turmeric and anti-aging Pea Peptide.

With Bisabolol (an alcohol derived from German Chamomile) to soothe and Petitgrain, Geranium and Lavender Oils, the mist features a number of ferments including Zinc, Copper, Magnesium, Iron and Silicon. The mineral ferments are in the mix for their probiotic properties that work to create a soothed, fortified and glowing complexion.

I really like how complex this formula is – it manages to include a lot of active ingredients while managing to remain 99% natural. The scent, which is a result of the essential oil blend of Petitgrain, Geranium and Lavender, is pretty powerful (in a nice way!) and I’ve actually spritzed it on my pillow a few times. A very pleasant mist that I like to use mainly throughout the day to freshen up and last thing at night to help me wind down.

Nourish London Lemon & Black Pepper Hand Wash and Hand Sanitiser Spray

(Gifted Item) For the past few months, hand hygiene has become a pretty big deal. I'm almost certain most of us haven't paid quite this much attention to the simple act of hand washing before! After months of being extra dilligent and taking more time than ever to soap up and rinse off , it's nice to treat my hands to something a little bit luxurious, in the form of Nourish London's new Lemon & Pepper collection.
Nourish's Founder, Dr Pauline Hili (a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry) developed two new products - a hand wash and sanitiser spray - in response to the current need for safe and effective hand hygiene products that are also kind to the skin.

Dr Hili says: “At the moment, we are living in very unprecedent times, I have been developing and formulating skincare products for over 30 years and having completed a PhD in the antimicrobial properties of essential oils, I felt some of the knowledge gained in this research could have some application to the specific products - particularly the hand wash and sanitiser. We are a London based manufacturing company and having the ability and knowledge to make things during these times is vital. We want to play our role, however small, in supporting our community and our customers to bring ease wherever we can.”

Nourish London Lemon & Black Pepper Hand Wash 300ml £12

This beautiful smelling hand wash is made with 100% natural plant-based cleansers (Potassium Oleate and Potassium Cocoate) and has been lab tested to kill 99.9% of bacteria. Ho Leaf Oil is blended with Lemon Peel Oil and Black Pepper Seed Oil - which are all naturally antibacterial- to create a fresh, invigorating scent that takes hand washing to another level.
You only need a small pump of the gentle handwash to work up a satisfying lather and the lemon and black pepper scent lingers once you've rinsed. We're keeping our bottle at the kitchen sink at the moment because I cook with garlic a lot and find that this handwash is great for counteracting stinky garlic hands.

Nourish London Lemon & Black Pepper Hand Sanitiser Spray 100ml £9.50

We've got a couple of bottles of hand sanitising gels, which do the job just fine but there is something very nice about this spray. It leaves hands subtly scented with the antibacterial, fragrant blend of Ho Leaf, Lemon Peel and Black Pepper Seed Oils and contains 65% Alcohol Denat to sanitise. The pump bottle packaging of this is so convenient - you can also use it to sanitise door knobs, hard surfaces and even your phone (just make sure to spray onto a cloth and then wipe down your phone with it if you do this). The liquid formula dries very quickly, leaving hands clean and refreshed, with none of the initial stickyness you get with hand gels. The sanitiser spray is also really simple to use on my 3 year old - much less wrangling involved and no funny texture for him to get irritated about. I'm pretty sure that I will purchase this spray once my sample starts running out.
